The problem
An EU partner’s VAT number gets checked by hand on the VIES website, and the proof of the check ends up anywhere but on the partner’s card.
How it works
- 01
The partner form gets a “Validate VAT” button
- 02
The module asks the VIES REST API: it retries on a failure and pauses that country when VIES limits the request rate
- 03
The status, the name and the address from VIES land on the card, and the check goes into the log
- 04
A PDF proof downloads from the same card
